An independent editorial project about what's worth knowing — explained without jargon, with the sources in plain sight.
What we do
We write guides and explainers on technology, science, money, health, culture and curiosities. The test is simple: we only publish what we'd want to read ourselves — never content written just to please search engines.
Who writes
Descobriu is a small, independent project. Articles are bylined “Equipa Descobriu”, which is the publication's editorial name — not a large newsroom. We'd rather be clear about that than pretend to a scale we don't have.
How we work
We check what we write and link to primary sources whenever they exist. When an article is updated, the update date stays visible. When we get something wrong, we fix it — and we say that we fixed it.
How we're funded
Through advertising and, in some articles, affiliate links — if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those links are always disclosed and never decide what we recommend.
Languages
We publish in Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), English, Spanish and French. We don't use machine translation: each version is written on its own.
